The 53 poems in the 2019 Hippocrates Prize Anthology of Open International, NHS and Young Entries were selected by judges for the 2019 FPM-Hippocrates international Open Prize and FPM-Hippocrates Health Professional Prize, UK journalist and broadcaster Kate Adie CBE, DL, American-Mexican poet and author Jennifer Clement, International President of PEN International and physician Professor Dame Jane Dacre who is immediate past president of the UK Royal College of Physicians in London and a Professor of Medical Education. New Zealand poet Elizabeth Smither selected the poems for the Hippocrates Young Poet’s Award. The anthology was edited by Hippocrates Initiative co-founders Michael Hulse and Donald Singer.

The 2019 Hippocrates Anthology of winning and commended poems will be launched on Friday 17th May after the 10th annual Hippocrates Awards Ceremony.
